Multi-Character Interactions
A scene can hold one lead kyn plus up to seven more — eight in the room. A group turn runs a director pass that decides who speaks and in what order, then a speaker chain where each kyn writes in their own voice with their own agenda, all inside one reply.
Your roleplay format, your call
Switch between the default asterisk style for actions and Discord-style italics, and choose whether your kyn's inner thoughts show collapsed, always open, or not at all.
The model behind the conversation
Soulkyn runs two tiers of text model. Which one your kyn speaks with depends on your plan — nothing to configure, nothing to switch on.
Standard chats
Standard chats run on Gwem, our fast in-house model: quick, solid, great for everyday roleplay.
Deluxe chats — GLM 5.3
Deluxe chats run on GLM 5.3, an Opus-class model — the size class of the biggest frontier assistants. Deeper memory, sharper dialogue, characters that truly keep track of the story. And it's unlimited, because it runs on our own hardware.
Soulkyn self-hosts a 753B-class frontier model on private clusters — which is exactly why unlimited is possible here and nowhere else. Deluxe and Deluxe Backer text chat uses it automatically; it does not apply to voice calls.
The mechanics under the scene
Roleplay on Soulkyn is not one big prompt and a hope. These are the systems running underneath while you write.
Stats that move
Energy, Trust, Affection, Arousal, Mood and Pain track from 0 to 100% and update live during the scene — and they feed back into how your kyn behaves. Push too hard and Trust drops, and you will feel it in the next reply.
Inner thoughts, on your terms
Your kyn's reasoning renders inline as inner thoughts, with a three-way display control: collapsed, always open, or hidden. And when one particular reply deserves more thinking, you can regenerate that single message with reasoning turned on rather than paying for it on every turn.
Location and clothes, set per kyn
Location and clothes presets attach to a kyn and apply to the thread. The precedence is stated in the app and it is the sensible one: live conversation context outranks the preset, so a scene that has moved on is not dragged back to a wardrobe you set an hour ago.
They can start it
Spontaneous Contact lets a kyn reach out to you on a frequency you choose, if you have not chatted in a while. It ships disabled — never contact me is the default, and turning it on is a decision you make, not one made for you.
You know what you are walking into
Every kyn carries a content rating from S through T, M, E and X, and an Analysis tab that lays out themes, warnings, interaction style and who the character actually suits. The rating badge sits on the card before you ever open a thread.
Every message is editable
Regenerate, translate, speak aloud, edit, bookmark, react, delete, generate music from it, Continue, or Picturize the moment into an image. The reply your kyn wrote is a draft you are allowed to disagree with.
Scenarios: someone already set the table
The community publishes scenarios: an ordered cast with a marked lead, up to seven kyns talking to you and to each other, with the opening scene already written. Filter by group or single, hit Use scenario, and you are in.

Fantasy, science fiction, mystery, romance — the genre is only the opening frame. What makes it a story rather than a chat is that the cast holds its own agenda, the stats under the scene move as it goes, and what you did earlier is still true later.
